On This Episode:
Cassie and Oliver Slosser recently purchased a fixer upper in the heart of woodland hills. With the help of Interior Designer Katelyn and Greenworks Construction they are able to bring functionality and flare to this outdated home. They both had competing style choices with rustic and cottage touches but in the end we were able to incorporate a little of both. The work consisted of new flooring thorough out and complete renovation of their kitchen. The cabinet were white shaker style in a light two-tone color palette. The counter tops were made of paper stone,an eco-friendly recycled material. The back splash was a pastel porcelain which complimented but didn’t over power the stained glass windows which was a key feature Cassie and Oliver wanted to keep during the remodel. keeping with the integrity of the house, we were able incorporate the wood detailing repurposed from the previous hood into the new custom hood.during the demolition we hit a few setbacks with the foundation of the existing house. In the end we were able to provide Cassie and Oliver with a beautiful kitchen that flowed well with the dark wood throughout the house and had nuances of both rustic and cottage style which came together and gave it a nice contemporary feel.
